Donut News

In Room 38 for oral language we sometimes do Donut News where we get to share and talk with other students in the class in a donut like shape. First we number ourselves around the circle saying 'tahi, rua'. We then form an inner circle by choosing either tahi or rua to stand to make the new circle. Sometimes we have visual prompts to help us share our news. Then sometimes Miss Lologa will tell one of the circles to move over one person or even the third! It is a great way to converse with other people in the class and to also find out about each other as some of us are new to Meadowbank or have not been in the same classes  before.

How do you do news or oral language in your classroom?
